Even More Boarding...

This weekend was yet more boarding, not far to go now.

More boarding...

Today must have been the coldest this year but we still got some more boarding done and some electrical backboxes fitted.

Fibreglass porthole liners…

Finally received our eight fibreglass porthole liners on Friday so we started the oak boarding this weekend. Very disappointed with the liners as we were told they would be an oak colour, their not! Just a horrible yellowish resin colour. Very low quality, at least one has a small split in it and there are puddles of resin on several of them.

It’s looking likely we’ll try to stain them to match the oak or if that fails bin them and have some wood ones made.

Oak Boarding...

Over the weekend we started fixing the oak boarding above the gunwale, slow job but it’s starting to look pretty good. (Shame about the liners)

LED Lamps...

Went and picked up the LED lamps this morning. Just a smidgin under £250 for bulbs, must be bloody mad!

Prism...

We've decided not to go down to the boat today as its still a tad too windy and the jobs that need doing before Monday are mostly outside, yesterday was enough fitting a prism in the wind. Only got one done due to the bad weather. The sky actually looks a nice blue colour in the lower photo but believe me it was a cold 25 mph wind.

Forgot to take one of it finished it was that cold.
